Banbury Business Breakfast Club Meeting No 240
Thursday 7th June
Gary Bricknell, Bricknell Wealth Management
Summary of the talk
As regular members may be aware, in April 2012, BBBC’s very own Gary Bricknell, along with some of his colleagues at St. James’s Place Wealth Management and a small climbing team, trekked to Everest base camp with the aim of raising £500,000 for the St. James’s Place Charitable Foundation.
Gary and the team reached Base Camp on 12 April after three gruelling weeks and 120 miles, and have so far raised in excess of his £500,000 target.
Gary will be giving us an insight into his journey and showing some of the fantastic images he managed to take whilst battling the freezing cold and glaring white of the Himalayas. You may well spot some familiar logos making an appearance!
We hope you can join us in giving Gary a very warm welcome home!

February’s meeting saw a hugely anticipated presentation by Prodrive Chairman David Richards, CBE.
In order to raise extra funds for his charity Everest trek, Gary Bricknell has arranged two prestigious events at Blenheim Palace, each with Sir Ranulph Fiennes as the guest speaker.
Dr Fiona Hammans, Principal of Banbury School, gave an insight into how the ‘business’ of schools is conducted and showed the delegates in attendance how schools make pupils ready for work and employment. Guests were also given a “class activity” to take part in, with the results due to be fed back into the school’s vocational learning programme.
